Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy with Golla Ketamma and Balija Medalamma
Sri Mallikarjuna swamy vari devasthanam is a famous saivite kshetram of Veerasaiva Agama.This temple is situated in Komaravelli Village at a distance of 110 Kms from Warangal and 95 Kms from Hyderabad.As per mythology swamy varu enshrined on Indra Keeladri in the eleventh century.One day Lord Mallikarjuna came in a dream of a shephered and informed him that he made the hill Indrakeeladri and enshrined in it in a Putta Matti (soft earth ) to fulfill the desires of the devotees. There is a staunch belief among the devotees that their desires are fulfilled by worshipping the deity.As per local mythology that Sri Mallikarjuna married daughter of an Yadava community by name Golla Ketamma  and another woman from Linga Balija family by name Medalamma.These two ladies adorned swamy varu on his both sides in the sanctum and sanctorium.Thus as per usage and custom Linga Balijas are performing pooja in the main temple. Oggu Pujaris from Yadava community are  attending to  perform rituals of  patnams and bonams . Here in this temple ,there is an unique procedure that the devotees   used to get patnam (Rangavellies) by oggupujaris , prepare food in a clay cups   and offer nivedana to swamy varu and take prasadam . After offering, the clay cups  will be cleaned and preserved  them in their houses through out the year for collection of milk from their cattle.  There is Staunch Belief among the devotees that if the above clay pots are used in their houses they will prosper in all respects Viz., both  in  wealth  health and cattle development..
Another important event in this temple , Pradakshina To Ganga Regi Tree  and offering prayer to Vallu Banda etc., are  also  important  and the devotees have staunch belief that their desires  such as blessing with child and wealth etc., are fulfilled.  After fulfilling of their desire, they used to offer bull  which is called as Kodekattuta.
Every year during last Sunday during  Margasira Month swamy vari Kalyanam being performed in grand scale. Several thousands  of  piligrims used to visit this temple during kalyanotsavam.  Annural Jatara Festival for Three Months  during the months from January to March every year starts from lst Sunday  after pongal  to last  Sunday  before   Ugadi performs Agnigundam. During Mahasivaratri festive day Pedapatnam (Big Rangavelli) will be arranged by the Devasthanam.  During the above ritual days, there will be  huge congregation of devotees then pay their vows.Large number of devotees congregate especially during Sundays and Wednesdays. During the above jatara period.
Sri Yellamma Ammavaru is sister to Lord Mallikarjuna enshrined on a hillock Chukkalaparvatam. The devotees visiting Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy  visits Sri Yellamma Ammavaru and offer their prayers.  
Bhandaru (Turmeric powder)  taken from the left hand bowl of swamy varu is a good mahatyam and  every devotee is having staunch belief in the above bhandaru.The pilgrim visiting this temple must invariably take Bhandaru Prasadam.
The devotees chant in a  loud  voice  as Komaravilli Mallanna – Korkellu Edeerche Mallanna and have darsan of  the presiding deity Lord Mallikarjuna , Kethamamba And Medalamma.
